Delete your data
You are always in control of the data Confidant holds. There are two ways to remove it.
1. Disconnect an account (instant)
In the Confidant app, open 📊 Dashboard (Instagram) or 📣 Ads (Meta Ads) and click Disconnect. This immediately deletes the stored access token for that connection, so we stop accessing Meta on your behalf right away.
2. Delete all your data
To permanently delete your account and everything associated with it, your profile, Brain, scripts, and all connected Instagram, Meta Ads, YouTube and TikTok analytics history, do any of the following:
- Do it yourself, instantly: in the Confidant app open ⚙︎ Settings → ℹ️ About → Danger zone and click Delete account & data. This erases your account, your scripts and settings, your encrypted Brain, your connected accounts and tokens, your AI usage history, and your login, right away. You only see "Account deleted" once the deletion has actually completed; if anything fails, nothing is removed from your login and you can try again.
- Email jakob@lolmediallc.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my Confidant data", or
- Message us in the app via the 🛟 Help button and request deletion.
We will permanently delete your data within 30 days and confirm when it's done. Encrypted access tokens are removed immediately on disconnect; historical analytics are purged as part of the full deletion.
Removing Confidant from Meta
You can also revoke Confidant's access from Meta's side at any time: on Instagram go to Settings → Apps and websites, or on Facebook go to Settings → Business Integrations, and remove "Confidant Analytics." We treat that revocation as a disconnect and stop syncing.
